Lamledra Meditation Retreat
with David Hope & Christina de Block
March 16 / 1:00 PM - March 23 / 6:00 PM
Shambhala London is pleased to announce an inspiring opportunity to take part in a residential retreat in the U.K from 16 - 23 March 2013. Discovering Basic Goodness in Ourselves through the Practice of Meditation will be a seven day retreat at Lamledra House on the south Cornwall coast, with Acharya David Hope and Shastri Christina de Block.
This retreat will be a time for meditation practice, enriched by teachings that present the first of a new series of Shambhala courses known as the Basic Goodness Series. It is open to both beginners and more advanced practitioners.
This course will explore the question ‘Who am I?’ by looking at the nature of our being, experientially through the practice of meditation. We will examine our sense of self through teachings on basic goodness, selflessness and buddha nature.
Lamledra is a spacious Edwardian house in a secluded setting overlooking the sea, in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
David Hope has been a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche for the past 30 years. He helped establish the London Shambhala Centre in the 1980’s. Since then he has taught widely in Europe and other countries worldwide and in 2005 he was appointed as Acharya or senior teacher. He now divides his time between Great Britain and Dechen Chöling in France

She is now retired after many years working in London as a teacher and language therapist. She lives in France and teaches meditation and Buddhism at the European Shambhala residential meditation centre, Dechen Choling.
The maximum number of participants is 20, so early applications are recommended.
