Yoga at the Shambhala Center

Join certified Hatha Yoga instructor Jackie Snyder for an all level yoga class at the Center once a month before the second and fourth Tuesday evening sit.  Yoga will help increase concentration and focus, improve balance, reduce stress, develop strength, and increase flexibility.  Regular yoga practice will help the body sit more comfortably during meditation practice.   And it’s fun!!


The class is appropriate for everyone, from the beginner who would prefer to practice in a chair to the fit athlete.  There are modifications for most poses to accommodate nearly any condition, like arthritis, sports injuries, or back problems.  Jackie will have something to teach and challenge each participant.

If you are not yet a Center member or are a visitor, a donation of $10 per class is requested.


Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.  If you have a “yoga mat”, please bring it.  We will have a few loaner mats for the first few classes.  Purchasing your own yoga mat is a good idea, so that you have your own hygienic mat that will provide a good base.
