Meditation in Everyday Life

Have you ever been curious about meditation? This course provides introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in everyday life. With simple instructions and support, mindfulness meditation practice can become part of one's life, revealing our innate stability, strength and clarity.
This first course of the new Way of Shambhala I curriculum, will provide an opportunity to learn and deepen one’s understanding of meditation, with practical suggestions for establishing a sitting practice in the midst of our speedy lives.
Each class allows for open discussion of the challenges that meditators face in their practice. The class includes periods of guided meditation, talks, and discussion among the participants.
This 5 class course will be taught on three successive Sundays. The first class will last from 10AM until Noon; the other two will have 2 sessions 10 AM until Noon and Noon until 2 PM. There will be a lunch break in between the sessions.

About the Teacher
Fred Schwieg has been studying Buddhism and meditation in the Shambhala Tradition for over 22 years. He is a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and was the Director of Cleveland Shambhala for over ten years and currently serves as its' Practice and Education Coordinator.
