Shambhala Meditation Training - Part 1

with Dale Asrael
December 9 / 2:00 PM - December 9 / 4:00 PM

Preparatory contemplation for December 9 session:
The first line of the Shambhala Meditation text, written by Sakyong Mipham
Rinpoche, is: "At this time great confusion and suffering exists because humanity cannot simply be."

Please contemplate this line, exploring the ways you experience it personally in your own life, and also the ways you observe it in others.

In preparation for the MI Gatherings to be offered in various locations throughout the Shambhala mandala in 2013, Acharya Dale Asrael will be offering two online sessions for MIs in which participants will contemplate and practice some of the main themes from the Shambhala Meditation text.

These sessions initiate the process of Meditation Instructors studying the Shambhala Meditation text internationally. Acharya Dale Asrael, Dean of Meditation Instructors, will be teaching directly from the unpublished text, emphasizing specific details about the three steps of the practice and their implications for meditation and our life.

All Meditation Instructors are invited to participate in the online sessions. These two online presentations are especially important for MIs to hear and integrate into personal practice prior to attending one of the Meditation Instructors' Gatherings in 2013. The presentations are also important for MIs residing in regions in which MI Gatherings have not yet been scheduled.

PREREQUISITES: Authorization as a Meditation Instructor. (Additional presentations will be scheduled for ADs and Guides.)
