Diversity in an Enlightened Society

with Charlene Leung & Robert Pressnall
January 6 / 10:00 AM - January 6 / 3:00 PM

In this program for the Davis Shambhala community, we will explore the connections between basic goodness of self, basic goodness of society and diversity. We will have the opportunity to listen to and discuss a short video recording by Acharya Judith Simmer-Brown on this very topic. We will also engage in an experiential exercise to honor and hold with compassion the diversity within the Davis Shambhala community. Enlightened society celebrates the preciousness of human connection which honors our differences.

Please pre-register for this program, so we can have some idea about how many folks will be there.  There will be no charge for the program, but we would like to give them a generous teachers' gift.  Please bring a bag lunch and we will provide drinks.

Shastri Charlene Leung has been the Chairperson of the Diversity Working Group for Shambhala International since 2009.  Bob Pressnall is the Regional Head of Education for Northern California Shambhala.  Both are long time Shambhala Training directors and have been married for 31 years.
