 End of Year Celebration
with Michael Stanborough
December 19 / 7:00 PM - December 19 / 9:30 PM
Location: Ceres, Lower Merri Room
December 19th is the final Wednesday night at CERES for 2012. As part of our pre-holiday season celebration, the evening will feature a viewing of the DVD Glimpses of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche’s Life and Legacy in Tibet. This 42 minute video has recent video of his birthplace, and some of his terma sites, along with excerpts from interviews with his brother and several other people who knew him before 1959. (Terma ("hidden treasure"), are key Tibetan teachings, hidden by various adepts such as Padmasambhava and his consorts in the 8th century for future discovery at auspicious times by other adepts, known as tertöns).
Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche is still much revered, and missed, by those in Tibet and elsewhere who knew him or were affected by him.
There will also be a short period of meditation, a celebratory supper and offerings of music, poetry and dance from you, the participants. Please do come even if you have no desire to make any kind of offering - your presence is the offering!
