Shambhala Level 1 - The Art of Being Human
with John Beard
December 7 / 7:00 PM - December 9 / 6:00 PM
Drawn from the tradition presented in Chögyam Trungpa’s seminal book Shambhala, the Sacred Path of the Warrior, this intensive is the essential first step for entering the Shambhala Training path of bravery and gentleness. The Art of Being Human introduces mindfulness-awareness meditation in a secular context and vocabulary. Engaging the mind, we glimpse the world's magic without conceptual filters, and begin to discover a basic goodness which is always present.
The Shambhala teachings present a way of living in the world with creative expression, confidence, and genuineness. This first weekend of Shambhala Training introduces participants to the Shambhala teachings and to the practice of sitting meditation.
Wondering if this weekend of Shambhala Training is right for you? Join us for the talk on Friday evening. It is open to the public at no charge. This is the last Level I we will be offering in San Diego until the fall of 2013.
