Winter Solstice Celebration | Shambhala Centre | Friday, December 21, 7:00 – 9:00 PM

Building on the Shambhala tradition of Children’s Day, this special evening is an opportunity to celebrate nature’s cycles, acknowledge what has passed, and make aspirations for the coming year. The celebration will also include a presentation on Solstice traditions, a group blessing, and a potluck feast of seasonal baked goods and savory finger foods.

Join us at the Shambhala Centre’s front doors, rain or shine, for a 3.5 km walk to Government House and back. The walk will combine silent wandering, using our senses to awaken us to the world, and an opportunity to become better acquainted with fellow participants. Please dress warmly, bring a warm blanket, and be able to walk for at least 30 minutes without stopping to rest.
