Thanksgiving at the Shambhala Center

November 22 / 12:00 PM - November 22 / 8:00 PM

Thanksgiving Community Feast & Appreciation Practice at the Shambhala Meditation Center

There will be a community Thanksgiving potluck meal and celebration at the center this year to which all are invited.

Since this is the first annual event, the particulars are extremely open, so please register below in order to be in communication about what finally happens, the menu as it evolves, and what you might bring.

There will be turkey as well as vegan options and most of the standard dishes.  The meal is tentatively scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.  People should plan on arriving at least around 3 to help set up.  There will be optional sitting and contemplation practice from 1 - 3 p.m., with earlier sitting possible for those who wish.   It will be possible to cook at the center if you like.

Please plan on bringing food and/or a beverage and let us know what you plan to bring.  It is always nice to contribute something to the donation box to help pay for heat, gas and electricity for the day and as an act of generosity.

There is no TV, so there will be no football watching, though of course we could play at the beach.
