Everyone is warmly welcome to come celebrate our children, our community and the Winter Solstice. Children (and adults) of every age are invited to take part!

2:00 PM Arts & Crafts: The children create a gift for the King and Queen
3:00 PM - Children's Procession
3:15 PM - Presentation of Iliana, A Winter Solstice Tale
4:00 PM - Surprise Entertainment & Potluck!
5:00 PM - A Glad Song and Farewell

Please arrive by 2:00 PM if your child, or you and your child, would like to be in the procession.

Children's Day and the local Shambhala Awake in Action group are joining this season to give each resident of the Union Hotel a gift of one of these: warm socks, knitted hats and scarves, toiletries (shampoo, soaps, shaving cream, nail care equipment, body cream, hand sanitizers), toiletry bag, gift certificates for Subway and Starbucks (which are near the Hotel and enjoyed). The gifts will be received at the Union's holiday celebration given annually by Awake in Action. You can drop off your gift at the Center on Children's Day (if you wrap your gift, be sure to include a note that says what it is, and whether it's for a man or woman, or either gender). Or you can also donate online (when you do, please note in the "Comments" box that the funds are for Awake in Action).

Location: Seattle Shambhala Center, 3107 E Harrison St, Seattle.
