Heart of Recovery
July 22 / 7:00 PM - July 22 / 8:30 PM
A weekly meditation and sharing support group bringing together Mindfulness Meditation practice, the Twelve Steps, and discussion. The group meets to welcome each other, practice meditation, and share our personal experience, strength and hope. We use the principles of Council (a talking stone) practice and the Twelve Steps (no cross talk and anonymity) to integrate the basic goodness of meditation with our commitment to abstinence, work with reality, and find a joyful way of living.
1st and 3rd Mondays - Twelve Steps (11th Step emphasis). Currently reading A Burning Desire: Dharma God and the Path of Recovery by Kevin Griffin
2nd and 4th Mondays - Discussion on Selected Readings. Currently reading When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chödron
