with Peter Conradi
December 15 / 9:30 AM - December 16 / 6:00 PM
In this weekend retreat, we will explore the Mahayana Buddhist path of dedicating one's life and practice to rousing awakened heart, and engaging the practices of a warrior for the benefit of all sentient beings. We will practice shamatha-vipashyana meditation, and there will be talks and discussions on the Transition from Hinayana to Mahayana, The Bodhisattva Vow, The Practice of Rousing Bodhichitta and The Six Paramitas.

He is English Professor Emeritus at Kingston University, and the author of a number of books including Going Buddhist and Iris Murdoch: A Life. He is an elected fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
