Art Salon: Singing Bowls

December 8 / 7:00 PM - December 8 / 9:00 PM

You are invited to join us for a Tibetan singing bowl session hosted by the Shambhala Arts program. In this session we will explore what it means to communicate with each other and the larger space through sound. Through the power improvisation and non-aggression, we will work with the ways we try forcing situations into our narrow view of how they should be. We may find that by letting go, the group will create a beautiful melody or rhythm (or maybe not, which is okay too).

For a perspective on what singing bowls sound like when played together, consider listening to this recording:

You are not required to bring your own singing bowls; however, if you have some and intend to join us, please bring them with you so we can ensure enough for everybody.

If you are interested in joining us, please RSVP with Matt Bryan at mmattb@gmx.com. When RSVPing, please indicate what materials you are able to bring. You can also contact Matt with any questions about the program.
