Awake in the World Retreat
with David Hope
November 24 / 6:00 PM - November 30 / 6:00 AM
A Retreat of Meditation, Art and Social Vision
Life repeatedly lands us in tough, confusing or frightening situations. Often, we are so absorbed in these situations that we let the present slip by and deprive ourselves of fully experiencing the moment. When we wake up fully to our lives, we actually find that underlying all the ups and downs, the struggles and challenges, there is a rich ground of immediate experience. This 5-day retreat will present the practical tools that can help us refresh our spirit, live more wakefully and engage in difficult situations with strength and clarity. Throughout this retreat, we will discover how to deepen our experience of life, take delight in the world that surrounds us and share this potential with those around us.
Inspired by the Awake in the World Festival that will take place this September in London, this retreat includes meditation coaching and practice, creative activities and keynote talks on the principles of living a wakeful life based on the teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.
This programme starts on Sunday November 24 at 20:00.
This programme ends on Friday evening. You can choose to leave anytime next day, on Saturday
