Shambhala Sadhana Retreat
with Jim O'Neill
July 14 / 6:00 AM - July 21 / 6:00 AM
At heart, we are basically good. Suddenly, we cover over this tender, perceptive and powerful heart out of doubt and panic. To help us uncover and relax within this heart of unconditional goodness, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche has written a simple and potent practice, The Shambhala Sadhana. For five full days, we will practice and study this sadhana intensively to deepen our realization and embodiment of this fundamental truth. Inspired by the vision of a compassionate society, we will form our own community of tender-hearted warriors. There will be talks, time for discussion and socializing, qigong, and drala walks outside.
During this week we practice and contemplate the Shambhala Sadhana together. The retreat will include meditation and sadhana practice, talks, contemplation and exercises, silence and discussion.
All those who have attended Enlightened Society Assembly, taken the Shambhala Vow, the Enlightened Society Vow, and have received the transmission and practice of the Shambhala Sadhana are welcome to attend. Also, everyone who has attended Sutrayana Seminary in the past years is very welcome. For those we offer the lung at the beginning of the retreat.
