Learn the ancient art of “Standing like a Tree”
Golden Ball Tai Chi was brought to the west by Master Lam Kam Chuen, based on the ancient tradition of Chi Kung known as Zhan Zhuang – “Standing Like a Tree”. The purpose was to introduce this 2700 year old discipline as a way of promoting health, strength, balance, stamina and relaxation.
The program will include an Introduction to Golden Ball, an easy Seated Chi Kung style for people with physical limitations including MS, and the traditional Golden Ball One and Golden Ball Two, for people of all ages and physical condition. The leader and class participants will practice together experiencing the benefits from stillness and motion, and watch a DVD of Master Lam with his senior students, filmed in China, of techniques rarely seen outside classes with grand masters and their students.
The leader, Ms. Patricia Anderson, was authorized to lead programs in 2007. Patricia is the Chief Operations Office of Solidus Technical Solutions, a software and systems engineering company.
