Refuge Practice

March 19 / 7:00 PM - March 19 / 8:30 PM

A group practice for those who have taken the refuge vow with an authorized Shambhala preceptor.  This short support practice written by Sakyong Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche, “Arousing the Motivation for True Fredom from Samsara: The Practice of Taking Refuge”  includes a contemplation of the meaning of the three jewels with visualization.  Please bring your text.

"The point of this practice is to strengthen your commitment to the Buddha, the dharma, and the sangha. Morning is a good time for formal practice. If you wish, you may sit in front of a shrine on which you have placed a statue of the Buddha and offerings of incense and light. Chant the words aloud or read them silently. You can also use this practice any time, anywhere, to contemplate your connection to the three jewels. The most important thing is to do it. " Sakyong Jamgön Mipham Rinpoche.

Pre-requisites: Those who have formally taken refuge with an authorized Shambhala preceptor.
