Shambhala Day- Morning

Shambhala Day marks the beginning of a New Year, and represents one of our most important traditions. As is customary, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche will address the worldwide Shambhala community via an online address in the morning


Saturday, February 9


An Important Day to Practice


1:00 – 5:00 pm – Open Sitting Practice


5:00 – 6:30 pm – Mamo Chants


7:00 pm – Dinner at Siam Restaurant (please register online)


Sunday, February 10


Neutral Day for Cleaning Our Households


9:00 -11:00 am – Regular Sunday Sitting Practice


10:00 am – Sadhana Mahamudra


11:00 – 12:30 – Celebrating the “Cleaning Dralas”:


Sitting practice will end early so that we can all join together to clean the shrine room.


Monday, February 11 – Shambhala Day

7:00 – 8:00 am – Sitting Practice


8:00 am – Bodhisattva Breakfast  (coffee & light breakdfast;  please register online)


9:30 am – Flag Raising and Lhasang


10:30 – 11:15 – Elixir of Life (open to all)


11:30 – 12:30 – Potluck Lunch (please bring a dish to share)


1:00 pm – Sakyong’s Address & Fundraising (starts promply)


 


Volunteer Opportunity:  


It takes a village! – especially for a 3 day event. We need umdzes as well as people to help set-up and clean-up for each meal listed on the schedule. Please contact Beth Pittman at bethapittman@gmail.com to help.
