Way of Shambhala - Meditation Retreat (FIEL, WIEL)

This week long programme offers the opportunity to practice and deepen meditation in a retreat atmosphere while learning and contemplating the teachings of the two Shambhala "Everyday Life" courses.
Fearlessness in Everyday Life: Learning to work with our anxiety, we are not blocked by fear. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings of mind and the nature of reality, we learn to see clearly. We dare to face life and death as they are. The meditator, open to uncertainty, goes beyond the emotions of hope and fear to experience equanimity.
Wisdom in Everyday Life: Meditation sharpens our intelligence and uncovers our wisdom. Participants will receive practical instructions for discovering trust and magic, even in the midst of challenge. No longer deterred or depressed by obstacles, we can include everything as part of the path. The challenges of daily life become opportunities for both contemplative practice and social and ecological action.
Prerequisites: Shambhala Trainings up to level 3 and/or the courses up to JIEL. Please contact us if you are not sure if this retreat fits your experiences and needs.
You may also choose to attend only one of the courses. In this case please give notice during your registration process. The price is 240 Euro each.
FIEL: Sept 29-Oct 3 (course ends in the afternoon of Oct 2 at 17.00)
WIEL: Oct 2-6 (course starts in the evening of Oct 2 at 19.00)
This retreat is taught in English. Translation into other languages are available at no extra costs. Please give us notice of your request as early as possible - about 2 months in advance -, so that we can provide translation services. In case you register short-term please get in touch with us in case you need translation into your language.
