Shambhala Training Level II: Birth of the Warrior

with Jonathan Ransohoff & Sarah Mandel
January 18 / 7:00 PM - January 20 / 7:00 PM

Having experienced a taste of basic goodness in Level I, we want to go forward. Meditation practice allows us to observe how we create a cocoon of habits to mask our fear. We begin to appreciate that there is no fundamental obstacle to experiencing basic goodness.

Shambhala Training weekend retreats are opportunities to deepen one's practice of meditation in a powerful environment that meets the needs of a work-week and family life. Rather than having to go away for meditation experience, we provide this training in local communities.

Based on ancient teachings that were brought to the West by Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Shambhala Training offers a way of living in the world with confidence, genuineness and creative expression based on the inherent wisdom that exists in every person.  Shambhala training offers clear and precise methods for uplifting our personal experience and that of others. This weekend-long program includes meditation instruction, with periods of sitting and walking practice, formal talks, group discussion and personal interviews with a meditation instructor.

Prerequisite: Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human

The companion class to Level II is Contentment in Everyday Life.
