November 16 / 7:00 PM - November 18 / 5:30 PM
Drala refers to the sacred energy and power that exists when we step beyond aggression. Through exploring the depth of perception, one engages the elemental and magical strength inherent in the world. The director for this weekend is Shastri Jerry Webster from Washington DC. In Sanskrit, "shastri" literally means "teacher learned in the texts and commentaries." The shastris have been selected from our dedicated senior teachers, as well as from newer, younger teachers and will serve a term of three years.
The weekend begins with an introductory talk on Friday evening. Registration starts at 7:00pm and the talk usually begins around 8:00. The talk is open to registrants as well as anyone who has taken Drala previously. The training continues Saturday & Sunday, beginning at 8:30a.m. with breakfast on site at the Shambhala Center.
While the fee is $150 for the weekend, the generosity policy applies so that cost is not a deterrent to attendance.
