Way of Shambhala - Meditation Retreat (JIEL, FIEL)

This week long programme offers the opportunity to practice and deepen meditation in a retreat atmosphere while learning and contemplating the teachings of the two Shambhala "Everyday Life" courses.
Joy in Everyday Life: As meditation practice expands and we develop trust in basic goodness, we can begin to discover the confidence and personal energy to go forward on the journey. Joining gentleness with discipline leads to a sense of joy. The mahayana teachings on compassion can become the inspiration for a life of bravery and freedom from doubt.
Fearlessness in Everyday Life: Learning to work with our anxiety, we are not blocked by fear. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings of mind and the nature of reality, we learn to see clearly. We dare to face life and death as they are. The meditator, open to uncertainty, goes beyond the emotions of hope and fear to experience equanimity.
Prerequisites: Shambhala Levels 1&2 and/or the courses MIEL and CIEL. Please contact us if you are not sure if this retreat fits your experiences and needs.
You may also choose to attend only one of the courses. In this case please give notice during your registration process. The price is 240 Euro each (no early bird and discounts available for these options)
JIEL: April 21-25 (course ends in the afternoon of April 24 at 17.00)
FIEL: April 24-28 (course starts in the evening of April 24 at 19.00)
This programme is taught in English. Interpretation into French is offered at no extra cost. Interpretation into other languages is available under certain conditions. Translation services can be guaranteed only if requested at least two months in advance. Please contact us for more information.
