The Essential Heart of Kasungship I

October 23 / 7:00 PM - November 20 / 9:00 PM

Both new and experienced meditators are invited to this class.

"Loyalty in our tradition begins with the appreciation of what we experience as true, good, and nurturing of basic sanity. Our own loyalty should develop organically as an expression of our commitment never to give up on ourselves or others even in the face of apparently overwhelming obstacles and seductions."

-- from Victory over War: The Dorje Kasung Handbook

In this five-week course, we will explore the basic practices of the Dorje Kasung, a service organization within the Shambhala community charged with maintaining a container of wakefulness in which the teaching and practice of meditation can occur. This is known as the protector principle.

Uniform (for active Kasung only): blue blazer, white shirt, gray trousers/skirt, tie (men).

Contact: Matthew Parkinson, Rusung

Generosity Policy applies.
