PNW Meditation Retreat (Vancouver Island)
with Shelley Pierce
December 15 / 1:00 PM - December 29 / 1:00 PM
Runs December 15 - 29 for one week or two, with senior teacher Shelley Pierce as our director.
Open to anyone, this year's retreat focuses on bringing our heart into our discipline and then extending that to others. The program includes daily meditation practice, relative silence, one-bowl meals, work periods, quiet time, walks, talks, and chanting in the Shambhala tradition.
The meditative and contemplative tradition of Shambhala comes to us from the Venerable Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and his son Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. The Shambhala vision of the basic goodness of ourselves and our society is the inspiration for our practice and daily life at this retreat.
For authorized students: daily Gesar, Werma, or ngondro practice (during week 1), and Shambhala Sadhana, Werma, or ngondro practice (during week 2).
Financial assistance available.
