Teen Retreat: The Challenges of A Youthful Warrior

with Roger Guest
February 1 / 12:00 AM - February 3 / 12:00 AM

Growing up today presents a unique set of challenges. How does one make friends with a world in chaos? How does one cultivate and express a personal sense of genuineness and sanity? Do the Shambhala Buddhist teachings have any useful and practical advice to offer?

Genuine listening requires that we pay attention- to our world, to our breath, to others-directly and without judgment. When we experience the world in this way, we can be touched by it. The world can touch our hearts. This program is designed for young people with a genuine curiosity about life and the wish to explore the principles of awareness and warriorship in the company of their peers. The weekend is structured to allow for instruction, talks, periods of sitting meditation, contemplative practices, and time outdoors. Please join us in this weekend of discovery and delight.

Ages 13-17 welcome. No previous enlightenment or profound meditation experience necessary! Just be willing to be yourself. The retreat will begin at 7:30 pm on February 1st and will go through lunch (ending around 1:30 pm) on February 3rd.

Please contact Lauren Sanford at or Donna Stephens at or 908-431-9617 with questions.
