Contentment in Everyday Life
with Marcella Friel & Barbara Hirschfeld
January 13 / 10:30 AM - February 17 / 12:30 PM
"Contentment can be hard to find. Much of the time we search for it in things, achievements or relationships. With meditation practice, we relax with ourselves and appreciate simple human experiences. Difficult emotions and the challenges of life can be met with gentleness, mindfulness and inquisitiveness."
$90 for members, $100 non-members. All are welcome regardless of ability to pay, please see the generosity policy on this page of this website. Please e-mail Kerry Schwartz at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the first class if reduced tuition is needed or for any other questions you may have.
Please join us for the second course in the Way of Shambhala Series: Contentment in Everyday Life. The classes will include meditation, talks and readings. There will be contemplation practice and discussions on Contentment, Nowness, The Four Noble Truths, Working with Emotions and Confidence.
There are no pre-requisites, and the public is cordially invited to attend. Previous meditation instruction preferred but not required. The Meditation In Everyday Life course precedes this course in the Way of Shambhala Curriculum, but is not required.
The Way of Shambhala Curriculum is designed to be taken in conjunction with Shambhala Training levels I-V. It is the recommended companion course to follow Level II. Students are encouraged to take the Way of Shambhala classes in between the Shambhala training levels as a way to deepen your experience of meditation and the teachings.
