 Joy in Everyday Life
with Adam Lobel
January 9 / 7:00 PM - February 6 / 9:00 PM
We need more than mindfulness and relaxation to go forward. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings on intelligent compassion, we begin to discover the joy of discipline, health and bravery.
Joy in Everyday Life will go into the Shambhala teachings on cheerfulness and health. Through study and practice of these teachings on discipline and the traditional Buddhist teachings of the Mahayana, we step out of the trap of our habitual patterns, free ourselves from confusion, and cultivate the noble heart of compassion. This class is a strong introduction to the Buddhist concept of bodhicitta.
***Acharya Adam Lobel is welcoming everyone who has already received meditation instruction at the Shambhala Center to participate in this course, even if you have not taken Contentment in Everyday Life, normally a prerequisite.
