Movement with the Mind of Meditation

On the last Sunday of each month a practice session of "Moving with the Mind of Meditation" is held at the Tucson Shambhala Meditation Center, beginning and ending in the Shiwa Okar Shrine Room.  A general outline of the practice is as follows:



  • 8:45-9:00 a.m.:   Stretching

  • 9:00-9:10 a.m.:   Meditation period

  • 9:10-9:50 a.m.:   Movement with the Mind of Meditation (running, jogging, biking, walking...)

  • 9:50-10:00 a.m.: Cool Down, Meditation closing with a Dedication of Merit.


The basis of this practice can be found in the book "Running with the Mind of Meditation", written by the Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.
