The Wisdom of the Emotions
with Jenny Bondurant
December 8 / 10:00 AM - December 8 / 6:00 PM
Ancient fears and habits can trap us in struggle or freeze us in an attempt to bypass our confusion. Either way the inner dimension of peace, joy and wisdom of our natural state is illusive. Our emotions can derail us, and can also be doorways to awakening wisdom. With the practice of meditation, we learn to ride the dynamic and ever changing quality of our minds in an atmosphere of openness and compassion. As we learn to let go of our struggle we discover the wisdom of the emotions is naturally alive.
Jenny Bondurant began practicing meditation in 1980 under the direction of her teacher Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. She has completed the traditional Buddhist three-year retreat and for many years has been a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition. She is a faculty member of the Graduate Contemplative Psychology Department at Naropa University, where she teaches and leads meditation retreats.
She is an ordained teacher in the lineage of Anam Thubten.
Jenny now lives in Santa Fe.
