Sacred Path - Drala
with Holly Gayley & Gary Allen
January 25 / 7:00 PM - January 27 / 6:00 PM
Drala is the third program in the Sacred Path series and introduces further warriorship practices that extend the basic meditation training. These practices are based on a societal vision and aspiration to help the world.
Through exploring the depth of perception, one engages the elemental and magical strength inherent in the world. The principle of drala refers to the sacred energy and power that exists when we step beyond aggression.
During a series of visionary experiences that took place between 1976 and 1980, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche wrote down the Shambhala texts. The Sacred Path is based on these texts and on his extensive commentaries. These teachings are particularly intended to benefit beings who experience difficulties in this modern time.
Prerequisite: Completion of 'Great Eastern Sun' and 'Windhorse' Sacred Path programs.
Shambhala weekends are structured to offer participants teachings and an in-depth meditation retreat. Attendance is required for the Friday night talk and for each session of the program. Participants can not register on Saturday morning if they have not attended Friday evening.
Thank you for your interest in this path. May it be of benefit to you and to all beings.
