Special Open House - 'Making Life Choices'
with Richard John
May 1 / 6:45 PM - May 1 / 9:00 PM
We make choices every moment, often without paying attention. Sometimes we make important decisions that will alter the course of our entire life. How do we choose? Are our choices based on accumulated habits, or on sound wisdom? Will our choices create benefit for ourselves and others, or will they lead to further confusion?
Acharya Richard John will lead us in exploring these questions and offer practical guidance drawn from the Shambhala Buddhist teachings.
Please note that our usual Open House format will vary slightly for this evening:
- 6:45 PM: Welcome. Meet people and get your bearings.
- 7:00 PM: Meditation instruction and practice. Abbreviated introductory instruction will be available at 7:00 PM. (To learn about meditation instruction see our Meditation page.)
- 7:30 PM: Talk and discussion. “Making Life Choices,” with Acharya Richard John
- 8:30 PM: Tea. Mingle with others who share your curiosity and interest.
We suggest a donation of $10.00.
