The Unbound Space of Nowness is a community practice retreat which invites everyone to relax into the gentleness of the present moment, the only moment we have to access the magic of space. The magic of space is that it's naturally unbound; unbound by worry, unbound by commitment and unbound by concepts all together. That is the gift of meditation practice, an opportunity to discover the potency of the present moment.
Join us for a week of community practice this holiday season, a time to be friendly toward ourselves in a season that can be fraught with stress. The week devotes space and time to meditation, body awareness, talks, personal interviews and discussion. Awaken to the goodness, freshness and wisdom of the season–which is our birthright.
A community practice environment for all levels where all levels of practitioners join together as a community. Shamatha, ngondro, Shambhala Sadhana, Werma & Scorpion Seal, Vajrayogini and Chakrasamvara as well. Everyday will begin and end together, and each practice track has a focus of study and discussion.
Please consider coming to all or part of the retreat; however we ask that you commit to attending a full day.
New Year Celebration
On January 31 we will celebrate the New Year with a Sadhana of Mahamudra and a party. The retreat ends on January 1, New Years with a half day of practice starting at 10 AM and ending at 4 PM.
Full participation in this retreat fulfills one week of the Dathun practice requirements for the Shambhala Buddhist path. This sitting meditation intensive includes approximately 8 hours of daily silent meditation, Dharma talks and practice instructions, including two meetings with a meditation instructor (for those attending the full week).
This retreat fulfills Vajrayana individual an group practice requirements, but not land center requirements.
Price Sliding Scale
Full Week: $350 to $500 (Earlybird discount $325 if you register by December 1)
Per Day: $60 to $80
Please note that anything you can pay over the minimum program amount will go into a scholarship fund for participants who cannot afford the full fee. Your generosity is tremendously appreciated.
