What is shareware?
"Shareware" refers to software that
is distributed free to try out but which you pay
for if you wish to continue to use. In this case,
if, having tried the screensaver out, you wish to
continue to use it you are asked to consider making
a donation to support the continuing work of the Nālandā Translation
Committee.
Installation Instructions:
For Windows XP: Download the Windows XP .zip file and extract all files to a temporary folder of your choice.
For Windows 98/95/ME: Download the Windows 98/95/ME .exe file and run it. In the dialog box that appears, hit the UNZIP
button to extract temporary set-up files to your
system's temporary directory (normally C:\TEMP or
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP.) Once done, hit the dialog's CLOSE
button.
Then (for all operating systems), use Windows Explorer to navigate to that same
created/temporary directory and run the SETUP.EXE executable
file that you will find there. This will actually
install the software.
In the last dialog box of the installation process,
tick the check-box labelled Yes, Launch the program
file before you hit the "Finish" button.
After you have hit Finish, the standard Windows
screen saver dialog will appear, where you can select
Slogans as your system's screen saver, and can hit
the Settings button to make adjustments to the appearance
and timing of the
slogans.
You are advised to read the README file that is
installed with the utilities. This should be accesible
from your Windows start menu, under Start | Programs
| Slogan Utilities | Read Me
Once the installation is complete you can delete
the temporary set-up files (such as SETUP.EXE) in
your TEMP directory at your leisure.
If you subsequently wish to de-install the utilities,
consult the README file for instructions.
