Plans

After Kalapa Assembly, we plan to meet via email and telephone in a small committee, to plan an agenda and coordinate a planning conference. We will use a retreat format to facilitate these plans. Our big vision is to connect with all interested artists/flower practitioners and centres throughout the USA, Europe, and Canada.

Vision

As members of Shambhala, we propose a path that encourages appreciation of and connection to sacred world, out greatest teacher.

We envision an international ikebana school of Kadö which teaches the qualities of gentleness, fearlessness, dignity, and creative expression by joining contemplative meditation practice with flower form.

We further propose to create a committee from Kalapa Assembly 2000 to plan and host a school planning conference within a year in Lexington, Kentucky area retreat center, inviting interested artists, teachers, and practitioners from both Shambhala and Ikebana worlds, we hope to cultivate leadership, artistic directorship and a thorough curriculum for this contemplative school of flower arrangement practice.

We commit our hearts to this vision and effort. We look to the Sakyong for any guidance and direction in this endeavor.
