Year end appeals in Shambhala
A key aspect of the Dana Group's mission statement is promoting coordinated fund-raising throughout Shambhala. In that vein we have compiled all year end appeals for 2009 below. Please consider this a year end "one stop giving" location. Here you can peruse the various letters and sites, and link directly to the Shambhala entities with whom you feel a personal connection.

Shambhala Mandala Services
The Mandala Services are the central services that sustain the whole of the mandala. These include the support we provide to the Sakyong and Sakyong Wangmo and for Practice and Education throughout the mandala.
Since there are a large number of appeals taking place throughout the mandala during this year-end period, Shambhala is not going to launch its traditional year-end appeal throughout the mandala. We have taken this decision to offer more space to everyone else. However, if you are someone who normally makes a year-end offering we will be contacting you individually in the next few weeks and providing an opportunity for you to give now. We will be inviting everyone in our community to make an offering to support our central Mandala Services on Shambhala Day 2010.

The Sakyong Foundation, the community foundation of Shambhala, has a Donor Advised Fund program that can simplify your giving. For more information click here.
We can afford to open ourselves and join the rest of the world with a sense of tremendous generosity, tremendous goodness, and tremendous richness. The more we give, the more we gain - although what we gain should not particularly be our reason for giving. Rather, the more we give, the more we are inspired to give constantly. And the gaining process happens naturally, automatically. -Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
