Jim reviewed draft three of the “Project Plan for New Economic Working Group”; he feels the next step is for this document to go to the Review Committee.

The issue of a centralized on-line financial system was raised. Discussion ensued regarding the size of the project, need for buy-in from the Local Centres and potential benefits.

Jim suggested that the Reporting Group take the issue of on-line financial system as a recommendation. The group agreed.

Jim brought up the issue of needing to understand or develop a policy on whether/how Europe will contribute to the Central Office.

Jim will develop a write-up for the Project Plan, which will provide context for the document, before going to the Review Committee.

Michael expressed the need for clarification of the ‘View’. Jim will tighten up the wording in the beginning of the document related to view.

The issue of regionalization was discussed, including the definition of the various ‘regions’. Jim will clarify this in the document.

The group discussed the definition of ‘membership’ and the different model existing in Europe.

An update from other subcommittees was received.

The group dedicated the merit.
