Diversity and Accessibility Working Group
Minutes of Meeting #5 - Sunday, July 18, 2004, 9:30 p.m.
Present: Cortez Rainey, Chair; Sarah LittleFeather, Recorder; Dan Hessey; Babo Harrison.
The Working Group met briefly after its meeting with the Review Group and decided to take the following actions regarding the treatise “Notes on Diversity and Accessibility,” and the Center Director, Mandala Governing Council and Practitioner surveys:
- Revise the treatise and surveys before the end of the week.Obtain a list of Center Director telephone numbers and addresses by the end of the week.
- Contact Center directors by telephone and let them know that in a couple of weeks they will receive the surveys. Ask the directors to complete and return the surveys.
- Distribute the treatise at the upcoming Mandala Governing Council/Center Director Meeting when it convenes at Shambhala Mountain Center on July 28th, and ask Center directors attending the meeting for help in getting the surveys completed and returned.
- Post the treatise on the Shambhala website.
The meeting adjourned at about 10:00 p.m.
