Welcome to the Shambhala Congress online

You have entered the internet connection to the Shambhala Congress. The Congress is a mandala-wide forum for exchange and consultation on the development of Shambhala as a global mandala dedicated to the creation of enlightened society.

This site gives you access to five major components that enable the citizens of Shambhala to participate in the unfolding work of the Congress. You can explore these by clicking on the horizontal menu bar at the top of this page:

2003 Congress

This is where you will find all the resource papers and discussions that laid the ground for the first Shambhala Congress, held in November 2003.

Also included are the provisional summary of the Congress distributed at the event itself, the more detailed reports from the topic groups, and the composite report from the Congress as a whole.

Working Groups 2004-2005

This is where you get access to the minutes and reports from the Working Groups, Advisory Groups and Review Groups that are carrying forward the work of the Congress through the year 2004. Once you enter this part of the website, you can click on the topic you are looking for.

Plans and updates

This is where you will find the plan for follow-up to the Congress, announced by the President on Shambhala Day 2004. You will find the full text of the plan, plus a summary. This is also where you will find the details of the newly created Mandala Governing Council, as brought into existence in the weeks following Shambhala Day. Any periodic updates on the unfolding of the whole process will be posted here as well.
