Center-Talk Mission Statement
The purpose of center-talk is to provide a forum for communication and
discussion amongst the Shambhala leadership internationally in order to
support Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche in propagating the teachings of Shambhala
and in order to promote the establishment of enlightened society.
Topics
The discussions will be restricted to topics related to the administration
and leadership of our Centers , development and support of practice and
study, and the continuing exploration of cultural and societal issues.
Management of the discussions and communications in order to adhere to
the above mentioned topics will be coordinated from the central office,
with support from all participants. It is hoped and expected that the participants
in Center-talk will be committed to sharing the information with their
Shambhala Councils and Executive Committees on an ongoing basis.
Participation
Membership in center-talk is comprised of Shambhala Council members, Dharmadhatu
Executive Committee members, and Shambhala Training Executive Committee
members or their designated representatives. All Shambhala International
staff will be members. There is no restriction on the number of administrative
participants from any one Center, although it is hoped that all Centers
can have at least one person on-line.
How to Subscribe
You can subscribe to the list by sending an e-mail message to center-request@shambhala.org.
This message should state your name, position at the center, and perhaps a little bit about yourself. The list facilitator is Wendy Layton.
