Harvest of Peace, held around the time of the autumn equinox, is an opportunity for local communities to gather, hear teachings by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, and celebrate the riches of our local cultures and heritage. The DC Shambhala Community will gather on Saturday, September 22 to mark this seasonal celebration.
In the afternoon, we will have a community gathering, including
- Community news and announcements
- Recorded address by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
- Discussion and sharing about the Center’s strategic visioning and planning process, which has recently gotten under way.
- Membership and fundraising activities
- Perhaps a few surprises!
A potluck will follow the community gathering. Bring a dish and a beverage to share, and enjoy a delightful meal and the company of sangha!
And, for those who are so inclined, a dance party is also planned for after dinner!
