This program will center around the lung (reading transmission) and practice of the short Gesar Sadhana, Windhorse of Authentic Presence, and will include Stroke practice and teachings based on the Shambhala Terma. Students who have received this transmission previously are warmly encouraged to attend this weekend in order to deepen their connection with and understanding of the practice.
The program is restricted to students who have attended Warrior Assembly or have received the Stroke of Ashe and Ashe Lungta in another context.
Acharya Eric Spiegel, an Acharya in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, has been teaching meditation for over 30 years, and has been active in the Buddhist, Queer and Yoga communities in New York during that time. In addition to a career on Wall Street, Eric has worked closely with people facing serious illness, beginning with the AIDS epidemic in the 80s. His teaching activity often finds him at the point where spirituality intersects with the harsh (and often beautiful) real world. He lives in rural upstate New York.
