We've Moved!
We've finally moved into our new space at 3520 Connecticut Ave, NW. We've held our first successful weekend program at the new location, The Yogic Path in Shambhala, with Acharya Richard John. During his visit Acharya John will also be offering public talks and The Art of Being Human: Weekend Meditation Workshop (Shambhala Training, Level I), September 15 & 16, 2007, all suitable for those new to meditation, or our Center.
Sitting meditation sessions are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 11 from 7:00 - 8:00pm and Thursday, September 13 from 7:00 - 7:45pm as usual. Given the space considerations at our new location, we've had to modify our Sunday sitting schedule. Sunday public sitting meditation will be held on the first Sunday of each month only, starting on October 7 from 9:00am - Noon.
We appreciate the support that many in our community have provided in the past to make this happen and ask for you to generously continue supporting our work so that we can continue to spread the teachings of the Buddha and of our teachers the Ven. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. All of us are extremely appreciative of the financial and spiritual support we have received to make this happen. It is our hope that this new Center will continue to be a place where dharma can flourish! (We would appreciate your support in our efforts. If you're able to help us financially, please click on the Donations button in the navigation bar at the top of this page for ways to contribute.)
