Established in 1986, the Halifax Shambhala Meditation Centre is part of an international community of urban meditation and rural retreat centers founded by Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche, and under the current direction of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.
Our centre offers meditation instruction, a core curriculum of Buddhist and Shambhala teachings, contemplative arts, and a variety of community gatherings.
We invite you to explore our diverse programs designed to help people of all traditions discover their inherent sanity, gentleness and humor.
The Halifax Shambhala Centre is one of 14 Sustainability Partners of the Atlantic Canada Sustainability Initiative, a collaborative project designed to build capacity and momentum around sustainability in Atlantic Canada. To learn about Halifax Shambhala Centre initiatives click here.
